Question:

I am having problems entering the new web site (http://members.tsmtravel.com), it says "Authentication required" ??

If you see the above message then read below


Answer:

EITHER your account is non-current or you do not know your Tsmtravel id/password. A third (rare) occurence is your web browser security setting (under preferences) was set to "anonymous logon" in the user authentication section -- this must be changes to "prompt for user"

A. Do you have the correct user id/password? First, verify that you have the correct user id and password. If you created your own id and password through SafShop then try these options.

B. Is your account still active? Assuming you used SafShop to retrieve your user id and password, you need to verify if your subscription is still active. Log into your profile at https://subscriber.safshop.net. If your subscription is still active, you will see it listed with the expiration date and an "Access" button. This will take you to http://members.tsmtravel.com (our member site). If you don't see your subscription listed, it may have expired or it could be broken. You can further check this out and fix your subscription through SafShop at http://www.safshop.net/cgi-bin/restoresub.cgi

C. SafShop shows the subscription is active and I have verified my user id/password but I still can't access the member site! Wait one hour. SafShop secures our server every hour and it could be that we just don't know about your id and password yet.

D. There is a third reason you could add to your help page. I found the problem in my security settings in internet explorer. The "User authentication" section was set to "anonymous logon", which was why I never even got asked for my user ID and password. I changed that setting to "prompt for user name and password" and it's working now. If someone else has the same problem, updating your help page might help them so I thought I should let you know.



Question:

My subscription has lasped but now I want to renew as a old member. What do I do??

Answer:

Your profile is kept on record, even if your account has expired. You can delete your profile, but if you decide to join again, you will not get the discount as an old member. If your TSM account has lapsed, you can renew here (using your expired id/password for the discount as an old member) for TsmTravel and here for the joint Wsa/Tsm subscription.

If you see one of the above messages (Welcome Guest) then read below

Answer:

This simply means you have not registered a board handle/password for the site.

To participate (ask questions, file reports, access some protected content, upload photos etc.) you must have a board handle and a password. It just takes a second to register (underlined in red in the above example) and become a full member -- you'll get a confirmation e-mail (you must register with a real e-mail address) in a few hours to activate your handle. This is different from your Tsm id/password and your SafShop id/password (which expires if not renewed) which is your paid access to enter the site.

If you have forgotten your board handle password, then go here to rest it. You will then be sent a email to your registered e-mail account and click on the link in the email to verify.


Your board handle/password never expires or is deleted -- even if you cancel and returnn a year later
You can see all as a "guest" if you desire not to participate!

Question:

I want to join (renew) but my credit card keeps on getting delcined, I know it is good, what do I do??


Answer:

Our credit card processor is automatic and sometimes, because of the way it is programmed, can't verify your account with your address. If this happens go here and we will manually (we hate work) verify your card securly, but it can take up to 48 hours. You can also renew here.
