(Cuba faq page)
- Cuba -- thanks for letting my friend Don and I rent the apartment in Cartagena
after you left. We had a blast. I can say I will definitely be back to Columbia some
time soon. It is tough to go back to Cuba after going to Columbia in that I had as
much fun with the girls in Cartagena as I had in Cuba without the sneaking around.
- Cuba -- All the things that have been said about Cienfuegos in the last few months
I found to be true and continuing. Was in Cuba 11/21 to 12/1 Cienfuegos seems to
have changed a lot. I was there to see a novia and wasnít exactly in TSM mode.
- Cuba -- Hola Amigos, This is Darkman (also known as Cute) writing to you live
from Cuba! I have been travelling for about a week now in Cuba and I have about 9
days left in my trip. This is my first adventure in Cuba and luckilly I'm travelling
with a friend who has been here a few times (thank god)!
- Cuba -- After much thought and thurouh discussion, my friend and I have decided
that we are going to stay in Havana for the duration of our trip and not go to Trinidad
or Santiago. We found a gem of a place here to stay which I will share with you.
This is the best casa paticular in Havana by far according to my friend who has been
here many times
- Cuba -- Havana update info As compared to (3) yrs ago, the update is this - 1)
Clubs - A good number of Havana clubs (including the infamous Commordoro) were closed
starting last February. This was part of a club crackdown against drug trafficing
and other stuff, that really I think was caused by the down-trend in tourism (which
has been world wide) 2) The remaining clubs, cinluding the rest of the established
TSM standby list
- Cuba -- Just returned last night after spending a week in Santiago. At this time
it is not easy to get there. Only direct flights are into Holguin from Toronto. Shared
a cab with some fellow travellers $30 into Santiago. Very few tourists
- Cuba -- Original plan was to fly into Montego Bay and then catch a Air Jamaica
direct to Santiago...however after I had purchased my tickets to Montego bay Air
Jamaica cancelled the flight to Santiago so I had to detour thru Havana instead.
and overnight in Havana and catch a Cubana flight the next day to SCU (Santiago)
- Cuba -- I had planned to stay 4 days in Pinar and Vinales and really check out
the area. Unfortunately, it was raining cats and dogs the whole time AND I was into
a full blown cold. It was impossible to see anything in Vinales with the cloud cover
so I cut the trip down to only 2 days. So anyway, here's what I got out of it
- Cuba -- My personal apology if I misunderstood your comment. On the chica front,
for anyone going to Havana for 3-4 days at a time, then convenience and the need
for speedy "close the dealfor tonite" generally funnels almost all traveler's
to pro/semi-pro. In my opinion, a 1 to 4 nite fantasy GFE in Cuba stacks up great
against almost any of the other short-time destinations I have traveled to.
- Cuba -- I was in Baracoa less than a month ago. Stayed for three days. Its a
peaceful town , but has plenty of women available.
- Cuba -- Hello TSMers! Allow me to introduce myself. :)
My name is Ozz and I have been to Cuba around 70 times, and have lived there on and
off the last few years. I am Canadian and this year have travelled several times
to Cuba and will continue doing so until the pussy dries up. I post regularly on
- Cuba -- Not even close to being an expert, on Brasil or
Cuba. I have been to Brasil MANY times over the past 5 years (even lived there for
a 6 month stint) but I still learn new things everytime time I travel. They both
posses their own unique qualities that make them special. Here are a few things that
make Cuba enticing to me.
- Cuba -- I was going through some old Cuba pictures today
and decided I'd share some thoughts about it with you guys about my favorite place
in the world. Cuba seems to be a dead subject around here as everyone has moved south
to Cartagena it seems. I for one appreciate less of us being there....now if only
Bruce could start an Italian TSM :). Speaking of Bruce, I guess I should thank him
for that Cienfuegos report he posted a few years back. That's what really got me
to go
- Cienfuegos, Cuba -- Recently returned from two months in Cuba late December/2000
to late February/2001. A few days in Havana, but mostly in the lovely little oasis
of Cienfuegos (population somewhere around 200,000)-the Pearl of the South.
- Cienfuegos, Cuba -- I have been here many times before and stayed at a casa where
record keeping tends to be somewhat sloppy. If I show up late at night I have a set
of keys and no records are made. Unfortunately my respiratory system
- Cuba -- I know I know Cuba is just soo umm..... '97 and certainly is not as hot
a TSM venue de jour as ANYWHERE in Columbia but my story goes as follows. This is
my 4th trip to the island in 14 months and I knew a little bit of the layout of the
land here..I had made arrangements with Andres Spengler about staying at his Casa
P. again...
- Cuba -- Favorite Cuba cities. "Just curious, what were your favorites small
cities that you talk about ?" for the second time, and I realise that I just
skated around without giving you a straight answer the first time. I don't like to
give advice as to where to go in Cuba because the situation in any particular city
can change drastically at the drop of a hat. I could tell you what a super fantastic
place Holguin is ..
- Cuba -- Cuba...WOW! What a place!! This was my fourth trip down to the island
in the last two years and each time, it never ceases to amaze me. In many ways this
was my worst trip (I was REALLY sick with a severe ear infection most of the time)
yet my best trip in so much as to the people I met and the experiences we shared.
Please make no mistake about it, Cubanos are the best people I've met in my life.
Politics aside ...
- Cuba -- Answers. 1) The weather in Cuba for November/December is quite temperate,
and in many cases I have not had to use aircon in the evening at all (a real bonus).
From Christmas thru New Year's is a very exciting time in Cuba, with a lot of street
...
- Castro -- Castro top ten pickup lines, get ready for a good laugh!
- Santiago -- $5.00 for a chicken count? Having been a lurker on this post for
some time, I finally got it up enough to drop a post about some experiences I had
awhile ago on everybody's favorite island. Several years ago, I spent several months
cutting sugar cane and doing rudimentary electrical work in Cuba (Don't ask) All
that needs to be said about that is that several people from the FMC (that's the
Cuban Women's Federation) were working with us:) Anyway, I had the opportunity to
travel around the island a bit.
- Ciebfuegos -- Fellow hobbyists, I just returned from a
week in Cienfuegos. Since the available guidebooks are hopelessly out of date, and
the newspaper is published only once weekly (Friday), I thought I might be able to
provide some useful information for newbies and veterans alike. Let's start with
the most important information. Where do you find the pussy in Cienfuegos?
- Havana -- Newbie on a budget. First of all, Iíve
submitted some Cuba photos today so look for Bruce to post them soon. Iíve
been looking forward to sharing my experiences with fellow TSMíers ever since
I returned home from Cuba a couple of weeks ago. I wonít be adding anything
new, just another newbie perspective.
- Cuba -- 10 day trip, just back. I just pulled in last night from 10 days in Cuba.
Let me say that though Cuba is rapidly changing, its still my favorite destination
in the world (within my experience of course). A few quick notes for now and will
send more details later if anybody's interestred: 1.
- Havana -- I will try to keep this Cuba report brief and hopefully not cover ground
that has been covered ad nauseum, this account covers April 3 to April 10 2000. We
arrived into Havanna at 10pm via Aerocaribe and much to our dismay there awaited
a huge line at every customs booth, moving very slowly, luckily a Army officer approached
us and offered to take us to the front of the line for a small mordida $10 (which
included no passport stamp and no voucher questions) Andres Spengler picked us up
at the airport in his Mercedes and took us to his casa in Vedado
- Cuba -- To tell the truth, Havana is a great place to have fun, but Havana changes
every day as more tourist dollars flow in. Here is the real truths and much will
surprise you.
- Cuba Cities -- Havana, Santa Clara, Havana. General Conditions: For all intents
and purposes, the crackdown is over. Yes, the police are still around, but not hassling
anybody in earnest. Nothing like in the spring when I was there. Not much damage
from the hurricane. Cubans are very resilient people.
- Cuba Vs Mexico -- I just got back from 3 weeks in Cuba and 5 days in Ensenada,
Mexico. What a contrast. I'll just narrow it down to the bare facts as I saw it.
Cuba - One week in Havana at the Casa de Hugo in the Playa district. Nice place but
waayy too far out. A car is mandatory here. Bulldog and I stayed here because Andres
had overbooked his apartment.
- Cuba Report -- For those of you who have been following my message board postings
since my return, no, I don't hate Cuba. In fact, quite the opposite is true. I rue
the day when Fidel and Slick Willie mend their ways and Cuba opens up to us ugly
Americans. I pray that Fidel manages to maintain control so that "mi Cubaî
doesn't go the way of Costa Rica, where too many nose picking gringos have trashed
a great Latin culture.
- Santiago, Cuba -- As I lay in the bed, exhausted from a harsh day back in the
office in Los Angeles after a week in Santiago, my girlfriend from Rio was trying
to talk about the relationship. Yes, I just returned that week from Santiago de Cuba,
and she had flown in from Brasil to visit for week.
- Cuba Report -- This will be my 5th trip to Habana in a little less than 2 years.
My first two trips were pre-crackdown and my last two; March & July of 1999.
When I last returned in July I only had only 4 nights and spent 2 nights each with
past girlfriends. This trip I definitely wanted some new experiences. I flew into
Cancun.
- Santiago, Cuba -- 'll try to run a fairly quick update off the top of my head.
i am still catching up on sleep, didn't get any two nights ago, something about a
6"2' tropicanna madel ( ? ) in Havana. She was at least two platform shoe heights
above me in her shoes! I will break this into the Hinterland, Santiago and Havana.
The Hinterland will include Santa Clara, Camaguey and Los Tunas. Beware some of this
is my opinion, but nevertheless based on over two months of experiences this year.
- Santiago report -- Duration of my stay in Santiago was seven days from Oct 24
thru the 31st. My gateway city was Montego bay, and I flew Air jamaica, as part of
a land-air package which included seven nights at the hotel Santiago. I purchased
this package thru Nash travel.
- Cienfuegos -- As the small plane approached Havana I feared the worst. I had
not visited the lusty Isle since last August and was anticipating a miserable time,
in spite of the fact that my Spanish was quite good. The plan was to overnight it
in Habana and take the Viazul the following morning to Cienfuegos. A new feature
in Havana was a luggage weighin in the arrival terminal in Havana, a new way to wring
a few extra dollars from unsuspecting gringos.
- Holguin -- The following is a recent report of my eighth Cucan excursion . Landed
in Holguin and rented a car, headed to Holguin! Within 20 minutes I had my passenger,
Marilin, and was off to a casa. It was dark and she was trepid about police. There
was minimal police presence at this point. At the Casa it was no problem, but she
was expected to leave early in the morning.
- Havana -- Dispite all of the negative reports of the crackdown etc., This was
the best trip yet ! My first trip over to "The island" after the crackdown
and I expected the worst. Have been lucky though in that from past trips have already
nailed down a great casa and a Cuban buddy who speaks great english and knows most
of the "ropes". Arriving at the new airport I slipped my customary $10.00
in my pastport as I handed it to the guy in the booth. After some chit-chat about
where I was staying in Havana (Hotel Riveria......yea right)
- Cuba -- Just back from my trip to Cuba. June 28-July 6 via Cancun. I arranged
my trip thru Nash Travel for a friend and myself. Went off without a hitch except
pickup at airport. Had to take a taxi to hotel. (Damn $15). First a word about myself.
I am new to Tsm (lurking 4 months)
- Santiago -- Just returned from a one week trip to Holguin and Santiago. I like
to go to Santiago because its a three hour flight from Toronto; its inexpensive,
about$US275.00 and I have a weakness for Chicas from Santiago's Tropicana Cabaret.
During the course of several trips I have made friends with many locals who look
forward as much as I do to my visit.
- Cuba trip -- The following is a recent report on my April / 1999 Cuba trip. Cuba
trip April / 99 Landed in Holguin and began my eight Cuba excursion. After
the arrival and car rental, headed into Holguin. Within 20 minutes I had my passenger,
Marilin, and was off to a Casa. It was dark and she was a bit trepid about the police.
- Cuba -- However, I was totally impressed with the fascination and interest shown
to tourists by non-pros, who are basically not affected by Fidel's draconian moralistic
policies. In multiple trips to Rio, Boca Chica, and Mexico, I had never seen
or felt anything quite like it. Here is how to do it!
