Dominican Republic
(DR faq page)
- Cabananas Touristica -- Okay, your in the Dominican Republic, driving along and
all of sudden you spot this beautiful chica waiting for a WaWa (local transportation,
a van for six with 15 people stuffed into it, you get the idea -- girls gets felt
up the minute she boards and despises the men who grope her) and she smiles with
those sexy brown eyes and stares right into your eyes. You slam on the brakes, she
walks over and says, can you take me to Puerta Plata?? You say, ìdam rightî
and away the two of you go.
- Cabarete -- Puerto Plata & North Shore Update.Visited Bruce's new penthouse
over looking Sosua. WOW!! going to be a swank place and chica friendly. Going to
take a month or so to get ready. Will explain the lack of chicas in the Puerto Plata,
Sousa, and Cabarete street scene
- Santo Domingo -- a full country report with lots of new information.
- East and North coast --long detailed report and much about the amateur chica
scene.
- South coast road trip -- Since the end of November, December and January 2003
I've been in Boca Chica, Santo Domingo, San Cristobal, Bani, Azua, Barahona, Los
Patos on the south coast. On the north coast I visited Monte Cristi, Mao, Punta Rucia,
Isabela, Luperon, Cabarete, Rio San Juan, Cabera, Las Terrenas, and El Portillo.
Made a over night trip to San Franisco de Macoris.
- Sosua -- Been here for a week or so and wish I had good news. Sosua is dying
a slow death and finding talent is really hit and miss. I find the beach boys in
Cabarete is good bet, (unlike beach boys of Sosua). Across the street in Cabarete
(and in back of the fancy stores) is a small village of shacks and cheap housing
were maybe a 1000 people live and of course lots of girls. The Cabarete beach guys
always have a few friends and they just run across the street -- it has worked for
me the last few times and have found a few hidden jewels.
- Car rental -- Just back and all I can say, you miss so much without a car. To
find a special girl (and they stare you down) you just drive around to you see one
you like and smile, 50% of the time you smile back and offer her a ride.
- Boca Chica -- Though Boca Chica has some unsavory chicks in the mix, I think
the majority of your time should be spent in BC. Bottomline, there are nice places
to catch a game, chat with some ex pats (specially, guys at Portifino) and procure
a few ladies. I know BC gets slammed on this board, but I had a fairly decent time
there.
- San Juan trip -- In Rio San Juan because it was Christmas week the nicest "companion
friendly" hotel the Bahia Blanca was full. So my two friends choose to stay
at the Bahia Prinicipi ($95.us per night) all in inclusive hotel. A third friend
paid for and took his girlfriend from Santo Domingo for 3 days there at the same
time. He got nothing but bad service because she was Dominican and bad looks from
the "gringo" ladies.
- Dominican Republic -- Boca Chica Hassling the girls: I think itís way
down from previous reports. The police would periodically walk through the main drag,
plus there were plainclothes officers. They didnít hassle or arrest anyone
that I saw,
- Dominican Republic -- Puerta Plata, Billy sent me this in an Email, gave me permission
to post it -- sorta funny :-). I met these guys, one never been on a plane and the
other has never been out of Canada. A first Tsm trip and poor Billy, he deserves
a lot more ....
- Dominican Republic -- I spent the last two weeks of April 2002 in the Puerto
Plata Area of the Dominican Republic North Coast. This was my first trip to DR, not
including a 4 hour stop over from a cruise in Santo Domingo, many years ago. I stayed
at the Sand Trap Inn. The Sand Trap Inn is located in Costambar, which is next door
to Puerto Plata.
- Dominican Republic -- Punta Cana is primarily a couples place but there's so
many tourists there that the spillage is enough to keep about five hot spots jumping
even in the summer off season. The city to travel to is Bavaro and ground zero for
daytime action is Bavaro Plaza, an open air shopping center that has a humungus bar
in the middle of the courtyard where they play salsa all day long.
- Dominican Republic -- You're essentially comparing a city, CTG, to a Country.
Additionally, your focus when discussing the DR seems largely confined to the mortibound
cities of Puerto Plata and Sosua on the North Coast and the sewer of the Carribean,
Boca Chica, in the South.
- Dominican Republic -- Santo Domingo, Ditto on Remmington Palace on Avenue Independencia.
It is now head and shoulders above any other SD club and not any more expensive.
70-80 lookers writhing around in the place nightly. Be forewarned, if you salida
before midnight the girl will be required to return after a couple of hours, after
midnight she is yours for the night.
- Dominican Republic -- Santo Domingo update, Spent 4 days in SD,, visiting a friend.
Though was occupied some nights and most days....Did hit both Tabus and Lapsus..Lapsus
quality is down..... and quantity also... to my suprise the doorman remembered me
from March a year ago... to my chagrin one girl remembered me also!!! In fact,,,
my first night there,, Thurs. past,,, was only 2 other customers. Tabu...1. next
to Lapsus...it had better quality than before,
- Dominican Republic -- Sosua, come to this area every three month to visit close
friends and relax a bit. I do know a lot of people and have some good contacts, but
usually I just come here to kick-back (the opposite of Cartagena where it is go-go-go
all the time), do some back reading and just visit good friends. Well, there is no
really good news.
- Dominican Republic -- I needed a vacation from NYC. Not only from the city, but
I'm dating a NY Dominicana who pouts a lot, just kidding. So I flew Continental from
Newark airport to Puerto Plata. Nice thing happened, since I had an e-ticket and
only carry-on luggage I was able to check in at the gate and was upgraded to first
class which I though unusual because I was using a discounted ticket, but who am
I to complain
- Dominican Republic -- I spent two weeks at the Sosua Palace, (Sosua, Dominican
Republic) during the end of June. Sosua is along the North Coast of DR. I arrived
at the Puerto Plata Airport and the owner, John, met me. He put me in a taxi (John
was riding his scooter) and 15 minutes later I arrived at the hotel.
- Dominican Republic -- Having just had a great time at the Sosua Palace Hotel
in Sosua in the north Domican I thought I might share some information and thoughts
as to who should go to Sosua and some ideas as to how to best enjoy your time. I
will explain a little about what I want out of a TSM trip so you can judge if your
experience would be somewhat like mine.
- Puerto Plata -- This was my first trip to Puerto Plata,
and surely not my last. First of all if you love women in all shapes, sizes and colors
this is the place to go. Never, ever bring a girlfriend while you visit this decadent
paradise. If you do decide to bring your girlfriend or even your wife stay at an
all-inclusive, this way you won't be tempted by the local flavors.
- Sosua -- Night in Equipo. one of the most underrated bars
(and unknown) in the Dr is Equipo. Situated between Sosua and Cabarete it is sorta
a gringo/Dominican bar made for fun and games. The owner recruits (can't think of
a better word here) from all over the country and Monday night there were 40 girls
(yes, maybe three lookers, remember this is the DR) and five guys.
- Puerto Plata -- The bars: Duane has sold Anna's Bar and
Grill on Av. Colon and it is no longer the point for the expats to meet. The new
spot for the expats is a bar across the street called "Color Tropical".
Bobby a Canadian along with his wife Mary have reopened the old "Fat Eddy's
Bar" and you'll find that is where the locals and visitors that speak English
hang out now. Some local girls are always around. Down the street is "el Boheim",
it has reopened
- Puerto Plata -- The September 11th attacks have had a great
effect on tourism here and most places are feeling the pinch, some hotels in Sosua
have closed but most are surviving and the benefit is the service has greatly improved.
Here in Puerto Plata there are very few tourists around which makes for a good time
for those that are here
- Dominican Republic Vs Cuba -- hought a little more about
your question and here is a better answer. I spend alot of time on the North coast
of the DR (variety is the spice of life) and the only place that is happening is
Cabarete (PP and Sosua are dying). Cabarete has alot of new construction and new
ocean front 3 bedroom condos are now in the $300,000.00 to low four‘s.
- Puerto Plata -- I just returned from 6 days in POP. I stayed
at a new Hotel called the Sand Trap Inn in Costambar, which Dominican Billy is operating.
The hotel is new and very nice as well as friendly towards guests and the girls.
Billy and his wife go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The 20-room
facility is like a
- Boca Chica -- Rio vs. Boca Chica. Apples and Oranges, for
sure. Kind of like comparing Miami to Key West, NYC to Hoboken NJ, a major cruise
line to a private boat charter, Disney World to Cedar Point. Everything in Boca Chica
is within a 6-block walk. You never need
- Santo Domingo -- I am amazed as to why anyone would spend their hard-earned money
and vacation time to visit a place and not spend at least one day doing some research
about it first. The FAQs and Country Folders can both be found at the top of this
board.
- Puerto Plata -- New find :-). Went into Puerto Plata last night to watch the
basketball game at Annas (big TV). Weather was perfect and took along walk on the
Malecon after dinner -- a real treat. Great sunset, balmy evening and lots of chicas
strolling around -- chatted up a few but nothing special.
- Puerto Plata -- Now is the time to visit Puerto Plata, there are lots of chicas
and not enough tourists to go around. I left a little over 3 months ago and after
a phone call today to a friend "Nico" who tends bar at Annas Bar and Grill
on Av. Colon in Puerto Plata. It seems that the chicas are hurting for boyfriends.
- Punta Cana -- Try the Disco at the Hotel Riu. Lots of locals available for takeout
along with vacationing Europeans. The place really gets rolling around midnight so
don't rush your choice. The going rate is ...
- Sosua -- This report is meant as a log for reference to hotels, and other travel
necessities for a traveler. It contains very little content of a sexual nature since
those kinds of details are best experienced first hand. I had made a good contact
through a previous report on TSM
- Santo Domingo -- There is a New Disco in Santo Domingo called "Remmington
Palace". It is about 5 blocks west of Tabu/Lappus on the South side of the Street.
I saw it one afternoon before they had opened and saw some of the girls hanging around
outside. I did not make back but spoke to Darren and several others about it.
- Boca Chica, DR -- I just spent a week in Boca Chica. I stayed at the Hotel Europa,
which has become my favorite hotel in Boca Chica. Bertrand and Doudou Binon manage
the hotel and have brought it back from a somewhat rundown condition since they took
over last fall. They are French natives who managed hotels in Venezuela for years.
They speak French, English, Spanish and Portuguese. The Binons are very TSM friendly
- Boca Chica, DR -- To summarize, it seems the owners of the three big all-inclusive
hotels are determined to make BC a family destination and remove the image of a sex
tourist destination. Girls are being arrested on the fly
- Boca Chica, DR -- As anyone that has spent a lot of time in Boca Chica can tell
you, the more things change in Boca Chica, the more they stay the same. One week
can be great, the next it sucks. One night it is dead, the next night it is jamming.
I doubt we will ever see it like it was 7 or 8 years ago but some of the changes
are actually good ones.
- Boca Chica, DR -- Back to Boca Chica again. Things seem to be picking up pretty
well. The ratios out every night were quite good, and lots of new faces. Know that
nightlife in BC doesn't begin to about midnight and still peaks around 3am. Overall,
not much has changed in BC for the last 6 months.
- Cabarete, DR -- I was in Cabarete June 15-21. I try to go every year at this
time for the World Cup Windsurfing competition held in Cabarete. Not really a big
event but at least it makes it seem like somethings going on. This was my eighth
trip to the DR, fourth time staying in Cabarete.
- Boca Chica -- Finally I have had a chance to regain my strength and composure
from the trip to Boca. I wanted to just give a new fresh perspective to Boca Chica
with fresh new eyes. I would just like to begin by saying that before I made the
trip to Boca Chica I had read numerous posts on this message board regarding the
DR.
- Boca Chica -- The journey to Boca Chica started after my trip last spring to
Cartagena. Loved Cartagena and wanted to go back. Because of my work schedule best
I could do was in Oct of 99. Right about when it was time to book the planes, I started
to get really bad feeling about taking the trip. Now I must be part Asian because
I believe in karma
- Dominican Republic -- I had never been there before. All I knew about it was
what I had read on TSM since July 2000. I have not been an especially avid traveller,
though I think that is about to change. I'm a resourceful, successful 46 yr old male,
I had 3 years of High School Spanish ( 30 yrs ago ) , but even so as the time approached
to fly down, I became more nervous about what I was getting into; on my own in a
foreign country for 2 weeks. I had made some bad decisions before. I hoped this would
not turn out to be one of those.
- Dominican Republic -- Long trip report. Well I've been back a week, and while
the memories are still fresh in the mind, I'll start what might be a series of posts.
I don't think flight info is really important, prices and sales change all the time,
although I did fly USAir, and they were good. As for Hotel, I chose Costalunga.
- Boca Chica -- Tips. The TSM rate at Mona Lisa is 700 pesos unless things have
changed. Don't be afraid to ask for it. Both Miriam (asst. mgr) and Fabia (owner)
recognize it. I whole heartily agree with Shark's assessment of visiting there. You
can sit in the little lounge before and after the massage and have a great time with
the girls. They are genuinely sweet, friendly and fun.
- Boca Chica -- I was in a brief lull in my current project so I decided to slip
down to BC for a Friday - Monday short trip. This was my second time to BC, the last
being almost a year earlier. It was no big suprise that it was mostly new faces this
time.
- Santo Domingo -- I decided to try some place new this trip. I fly out of Tampa
and had only 5 days from work so I decided to go to Santa Domingo. What follows are
a few random observations.
- Puerta Plata -- My name is Bill (PuertoPlataBilly) and I'm a retired steel worker
from Hamilton Ontario Canada. I've lived in Puerto Plata each winter for the past
9 years, married to an older (46) dominican woman named Milagros. Love the "latin"
lifestyle, one wife and as many girlfriends as you can handle. I do a lot of research
at bars in and around the Puerto Plata area with the the point of view that "if
it flies, floats or fucks rent it". Since I can't afford to own one of these
toys, I try not to become too attached by moving on to the next one.I would like
to pass on my report on these bars in the Puerto Plata area with photos of my favorite
girls that work in them.
- Santiago -- I paid to much! Most of my report on Boca Chica was covered while
I was there, or last night, or is adequately being covered by Dug live, so Iíll
skip the first few days of my trip and start with our Saturday morning departure
to Santiago. Trippers Chris picked us up (Huevon, Travelin Man and another buddy)
at 9:00 AM and we headed North to Santiago.
- Santo Domingo -- Low down on clubs. Never heard of TSM before Santo Domingo but
I met a member on Day 4 of trip and he showed me some of the action spots ... Ok
Hi my name is Christopher I am 35 , 5'11, 190 lbs , long dark hair green eyes , in
good shape & have my own business .
- Santo Domingo -- The initiaton . Take two parts Tijuana and mix with two parts
New York City, add hustlers from hell and a pinch of wild west mentality and you
have a pretty good recipe for what to expect from this destination. And since I tend
to test the boundaries of high and low Iím glad to have limited the losses,
which could have been greater.
- Boca and St. Domingo -- quick update (with photos) of both. They have really
cleaned up Boca Chica (literally and figuratively). The streets are now cleaned daily
and little trash is seen on the main calles or beaches. But the street girls also
have been cleaned up and the days of finding a nice girl to be convinced to be a
bad girl are gone -- they are 98% bad.
- Sosua --After several trips to Boca Chica over the last year, I decided to give
the North Coast a try. I spent 5 days in Sosua & 2 days in Puerto Plata with
a fellow TSMer. Sosua is a tourist trap. I have sometimes felt like a walking automatic
teller in Boca Chica but in Sosua I initially felt like an armoured truck with a
flat tire getting shot at with bazookas.
- Dominican Republic -- 5 weeks in DR: Boca Chica, Las Terrenas, SD, Santiago.
What follows might make more sense if I tell you I'm a decent looking, blue-eyed,
fluent Spanish-speaking, 38 year-old American. First four days in Boca Chica. If
you go there, beware of a girl named Caroline. Bad, bad news:
- Sosua, Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic -- This report will be more of a summary
report rather than a day-by-day account. Since Bruce has already chronicled much
of the trip and Martin is sure to write a report, any missing parts here will surely
be covered. I took the usual flights through DFW and Miami to Puerta Plata (POP)
using an American Advantage
- Dominican Republic -- (long) I came back from short vacation in the DR 10 days
ago but couldn't get my thoughts together until now. First of all, my big thanks
to Omega and Worm for taking good care of me in Boca Chica and Irving who showed
me real :-) Santiago. I also met great guys at Ronnie's: Bad Boy, Newt Gingrich and
many others I had great time hanging out with. As you have probably noticed, English
is not my native language so bare with me... This is how I spent my 8 days in DR.
Nov 23-25- Santo Domingo 25-28- Boca Chica 28-30- Santiago Nov 30-Dec 1- Sosua.
- Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic -- I had been to Boca Chica before and experienced
the fun there but this time I would travel to Puerto Plata and visit a friend of
mine as well as sample some of the local PP ladies. I had read the archieves on places
in Sosua and PP to go, but I would use them only if I didn't turn up any excitement
elsewhere.award.
- Boca Chica, Dominican Republic -- The real city. Let's set the record straight
on what Boca Chica is and isn't. Boca Chica is not a sex town. It is a beach town.
In the main tourist area, there are no strip bars, no massage parlors, no brothels,
or any other kind of sex-oriented businesses. The girls you see don't work for anybody
but themselves, or as a waitresses, bartenders, cashiers, etc
- Boca Chica -- Well, I just returned from BC and saw many of our friends down
there. I'm still wishing I could have stayed much longer.. 5 days just isn't enough
to experience all of those delights... f. Note, I'm writing this from memory and
took no notes, so excuse any things I don't recall.. Also, I speak some spanish,
which makes a difference in speaking and dealing with the people.
- Santo Domingo Booty -- I don't know the source of the urge that overcame me (was
it lust? -- or was it just an overwhelming desire to do research for the good of
TSM and mankind?) but in May I made a second trip to Santo Domingo.
- Santo Domingo Street action --I'm kind of schizophrenic when it comes to TSM
activities... one part of me is looking for a sweet, tender, beauty, as far from
hard-core as possible, to have a fantasy sex/romance experience with (i.e., Girlfriend
Sex). The other side of me is looking for something much more raw... 2 or 3 on one,
anal, trashy looking girls -- slut sex. For the latter, there's nothing like the
street.
- Boca Chica -- Before you all get the idea that I am just bitching because I had
a shitty long weekend, that's not really the case. I had to go some place to to get
warm and wait for Rio. My inner most thoughts on this Tsm destination, this my surprise
you :-)
- Dominican Republic -- I lived in the Dominican Republic from '91 to '93 and again
for four months in '96. My comments may be most useful to those who speak Spanish
and understand Latin culture. (In fact, I find that everyone else generally fucks
things up for the rest of us.
- Boca Chica, Dominican Republic -- This won't be your typical Boca Chica report
but here goes. More like an update on the area and for you to decide if it is worth
a visit. I just got back from 5 days in Boca Chica, so I saw first hand how the town
is doing after the hurricane.
- Boca Chica, Dominican Republic -- Boca Chica: The Speaker's post hurricane report.
I've decided to organize the first part of this report with easy to navigate categories
covering the factual information I was anxious to know before my trip. I follow that
up with more subjective impressions covering just about everything that has held
the interest of TSM members in the past.
- Cabarete -- Casa Laguna is a property located in the very center of the small
town of Cabarete, Dominican Republic, just a few steps from one of the most outstanding
beaches for aquatic sports all over the world.
- Boca Chica -- Believe it or not, I did it all in two days and got laid 6 times
(maybe more). Now I really need a vacation. Here is my story.
- Juan Dolio -- An unknown hot spot in the Dominican Republic. Stopped at a hotel
called the Decameron in a place called Juan Dolio on the south coast of the island.
Here is the report!
- Santiago (Dominican Republic). I just got back from my first trip to the DR,
Boca Chica, Santo Domingo and Santiago and I am planning to return for another week
sometime soon. As a first timer I called Taxi Dave, and had him meet me at the airport;
short hop to Boca Chica check in at the El Candil and started making my way to Ronnies.
Met Rhone and several visiting Tamers from SD and beyond. Santiago was the and here
is a full report!
- Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic -- A great report of where all the action is
including how to get there, costs, what to expect and even includes a photo of his
favorite new love (of the many).
- Pelon in the DR -- When I met Omega in Tijuana last year, little did I know how
much he would influence my future travels. Left to my own devices, I would have happily
continued on with my occasional trips to the Zona Norte's mean streets, but due to
Omega's DR reports, and then after joining TSM at his encouragement, and reading
all of the reports and seeing the pictures, my destiny was sealed.
