- Thailand -- Reflections of last trip. Sawasdee
- Sawdiika. It was GREAT meeting TSMers "Jumbo Jet" & "Kram"
- Khapkhun Maak for a fun time at CPII to both of you - aditional Khapkhun Maak to
"Jumbo Jet" for taking me to his favorites places, full of Thai cuties.
Photos - found it harder & harder to get photos.
- Thailand -- Not an expert on BKK but suggest the
following in Pattaya:
- Thailand -- Bangkok Observations - Oct 7-10, 2002
($1US = 43Baht) Firstly, in case you don't know me, I am the original Jimbo (see
archives) AKA Budkona. I would have loved to be using those handles still, but some
POS has stolen them. Anyway, I'm one of the old-timers here, who comes and goes.
- Thailand -- Bangkok tips, Nothing to be scared
about. I echo what Carlos_III said. Much safer IMHO than Latin America and much more
selection. My personal hints to make your trip a little nicer would be:
- Thailand -- Hello TSM. Lost some of my notes -some
details from memory CHIANG RAI - 1st class bus from Chiang Mai - 135 bahts - 3 hours.
-stayed at the ChiangRai Hotel - near the clock tower - 250 bahts for small room
with fan/bath - hotel has an dingy bar, full of locals, one tout took me to a plaza
nearby
- Thailand -- It must be three decades since I last
did LSD. I've done it three times. I never actually liked it but did find it to be
intellectually fascinating. LSD can be virtually anything you want it to be. The
same can be said about LOS
- Thailand -- Get into Bangkok and meet up with Na,
a gogo bar waitress who had I met on a trip two months before. One venue of note
that Na chose was ìThe Coliseumì. This is a very big place: three tiers
done in kind of a cave motif. The idea is you eat
- Thailand -- Last June 2002, I was in Phnom Penh
for the first time. At that time, I had summaried trip information from the FAQs.
Since the day time activites are seriously limited, I spent some time checking things
out. Except for the drivers as of June 2002 everything was correct. I hope that this
information is useful to first timers to Cambodia. ? Phnom Penh
- Thailand -- I've been a lurking member of this
board for several years and have always relied on it's information for excellent
trips to Asia (Thailand, Philipines, Cambodia, Vietnam etc.) Speical thanks go to
Frequent Flier, Rockhard and Shadow for providing such fine reporting over the years.
This time I undertook my fourth trip to the Land of Smiles and decided that I would
start contributing to the board so that future generations of newbies might benefit
from it.
- Thailand -- My 3rd annual holiday pilgrimage to
Thailand was actually my 5th trip to the LOS. I was really looking forward to seeing
friends living in or visiting Thailand during this holiday. After reading about the
voyeurs' paradise of Baccarat at Soi Cowboy I had ...
- Thailand -- There's no set time. Same owner/owners
own Marine 1 and 2. After hours discos are illegal but the local cops only enforce
the 2am closing on discos when the BKK cops come down. So when Marine1 closes around
3am they open up Marine2 and the crowd moves over there. Come on." Sure enough
we walk with the crowd
- Top Destinations -- I'm planning an "around-the-world"
trip from September 1 through November 15th, taking advantage of United Airlines
around the world ticket ($3360 for up to 13 layovers, all the way around the world,
up to one year to complete). I am requesting suggestions from members for the 10
best TSM spots in the world.
- Thailand -- Pattaya, I have decided to call this
trip report Chicken Agogo because of the facinating way Thais try to explain things
with limited vocabluary. In this instance I was having a meal at Diana Inn/ Green
Bottle where they have chickens spit roasting on view from Second Road. These are
on vertical spits and chickens whizz round close to the charcoal.
- Thailand -- As I am new to this board I thought
I would make a contribution that I wrote a few months ago, the trip was in May 2002.
I hope to visit LOS in October/November this year and will report on this trip also.
Sorry it is long and goes on a bit, but I hope it is a little enjoyable and useful
to some. Wicked Willyís trip to LOS
- Thailand -- Pattaya, I returned from Thailand about
3 weeks ago and thought I would post a few pics and relate a few of my impresssions.
I really enjoyed meeting Frequent Flyer in Bkk. He is really a super guy and I think
we have pretty much the same taste in women. (although I will except a A cup if she
has a sweet smile)
- Thailand -- So, I wake up today knowing that in
only 36 hours I will be landing onto hallowed ground known as LOS (Land of Smiles).
I go through my day like any other, a lot more things to wrap up knowing that I will
be gone for over three weeks with little or know contact to my life back home (by
choice). This adventure will take place in LOS and Cambodia taking in the major must
see and do sites but also with a little exploring of the smaller things in between.
- Thailand -- Bkk, so far my favorite BJ bars around
here have been the Star of Light in Patpong (for the pure SLEAZE!!!!!) and Lolita's.
For those who haven't yet been to Lolita's, it's one of three bars of the same name
in the Soi Cowboy
- Thailand -- This is not a prices/places/people/pictures
report, but a travel experience, related to, or as a consequence of, TSM activities.
In short, I visited the village of a Thai GF, in Issan, North East Thailand. If this
type of stuff doesn’t interest you, read no more. But if you’ve ever been asked to
go on one of these excursions, and you want to see what my experience was, read on
- Asia prices -- In some ways I am not the best person
to comment as I have stated several times that I always pay higher than necessary
when (but only when) the price is low. However I am probably the only person on this
board (maybe in the world?
- Bring Asia girl back -- No, just cause you bring
her back to the states doesn't mean that she will leave you. Or get a divorce and
take half your empire. But even if she doesn't, after a short while (in 99.99% of
the cases, maybe you will be the .01), the experience will begin to change in subtle
ways. Number one ...
- Thailand -- Bkk and Pattaya, the ad's in the back
of the New York Times travel section had tantalized me for years; "Circle the
globe for $999.00" I always figured it was some kind of rip-off, but in the
daylight of my new found freedom, having ended a too long term of relationship, I
decided to check it out.
- Aids -- This is a subject that I spent a lot of
time on and one of the main conclusions I have is that the data is conflicting, unreliable
and often statistically unsound. That is, I have not conclusion. Saying that one
third of the working girls in a country like Thailand are HIV positive
- Thailand -- The last month has
been a typical one of traveling and debauchery in South East Asia. Rather than a
blow by blow account of what I did every day, I will try to mix only highlights of
recommendations and updates on the region with some stories and a little philosophy
in line with what is discussed on this board, and lots of pictures.
- Bangkok -- I went to two BJ bars
when I was in BKK last year - the Star of Light and the Kangaroo Bar, both in Patpong.
- Asia diving -- he best diving is
almost always far from urban areas. The dives surrounding Phuket are average at best.
Ko PhiPhi, doable as a daytrip, is much better as is the Phang Nga area. The World
Class Diving (in that area) is far ..
- Bangkok -- My second trip to the "Land of Smiles" proved the point
that you can't have a bad time in Thailand. While a grey cloud seemed to hover over
me my entire trip I didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back! To top off the
trip they lost my luggage on the trip back! Waiting for the call now..
- Thailand -- Green Grasser (formerly
El Hunter) vacationed in Thailand the latter part of November 1999 and return again
in November 2001 for the Greg It's Showtime festivities. This report is an update
of the November 1999 report, which may still be useful for its details.
- Pattaya -- am a seasoned traveller
to the Far East. This is my third trip to LOS in 18 months. A crap start to the trip
when some horse doctor certified a guy with a crushed vertibrae fit to fly. Well
he was fit to fly from Heathrow to Manchester but the poor bastard wasn't fit to
get off the plane.
- Thailand -- I have lived in Thailand
for over 10 years, basically going with girls everyday during this period. I travel
almost monthly to Cambodia and every month to the Philippines. I do not want to get
into the debate of whether or not to use condoms every time, as it is a personal
decision. However, the personal decision is ..
- Bangkok -- Even after living in Bangkok a year
now and thinking that I have "done it all", there's always something new
and different happening to me almost daily. A little background for those unfamiliar.
The Rachada area of Bangkok has many upscale parlors where you can get a soapy massage.
You pay a set price up front of which the girl gets a sizeable portion. Tipping is
optional
- Thailand -- You’ve been here to long when IN THAILAND
TOO LONG WHEN.....You put ice in your beer. You eat pizza with ketchup on it. You
order "whiskey soda" for breakfast at 7:00 a.m. instead of milk or orange
juice. Your idea of business wear is a Safari Suit and ....
- Thailand -- Money for your honey: Sometimes I have
a tendency of being a know it all and if this post offends anyone I will apologize
in advance. I read a comment a guy made this morning about Thai women not being interested
in money and I just have to respond.
- Pattaya, Thailand -- Hi. This is my attempt to
write a report. I've finally made the decision. I'm going to Pattaya. After many
months of lurking on the board, I'm gonna go for it. This report are just my views
and my thinking. If I offend anyone by this report, it is not my intention to do
so. Also English is not my primary language therefore apologies for my grammar and
syntax.
- Pattaya, Thailand -- Summary: 1) Avoid young girls
(19-24) because no matter how attractive they are, they will most likely disappoint
in bed and jai-dee. 2) Go-go girls are not going to be any better in bed (or in affection)
than beer bar girls but will be more expensive. 3) Massage parlour girls are the
most expensive but deliver. 4) I'm sure that there are other venues that I haven't
explored yet.
- Pattaya, Thailand -- For those of you who read
my last report about my virgin trip to Bangkok, let me get you up to speed. I have
spent 22 of the last 52 weeks in Thailand, having fallen head-over-heels for this
place a little over a year ago. You may recall I lived in the Philippines for 5 years
back in the 80s (hence my old handle, PI-Runner), and Thailand is like Angeles City
was in itís heyday multiplied by a factor of 10.
- Bangkok -- New info.. 1. Helen massage at Khlong
Toei (Rama IV) 2. Evita massage (New Petchaburi) 3. Info on Victoria's Secret (Rama
IX) and Osaka (Pattanakan Road) 4. Updated pricing/info on ~50% of the listed places
5. Angara/Vilunda has changed its name to Oscar massage 6. Monika's massage on second
floor of Mona Lisa may not welcome farangs and other non-East Asians.
- Bangkok -- Heres's some old stories and I fear
that I will have no such adventures (in BKK anyway) anymore as I am happily? living
with my girlfriend now. As you will read, it's not tough to get freebies here, but
as we all know, nothing is ever "free". A good night out (Dec 24, 2000)Last
night I was looking to have a nice "date" instead of hanging out with the
boys all night. Don't get me wrong
- Pattaya, Thailand -- s a ex-pat living in Bangkok,
I have been to Pattaya countless times. Here's a report from my just completed 3
day visit. It's amazing how much action and trouble you can cram into 3 days here!
Special thanks to Pakwaan for introducing me to this forum.
- Thailand -- I posted pretty much this exact same
account on the BGV board a couple of days ago, but I realized that to almost everyone
there, this stuff was old hat, so, to celebrate my 5-year anniversary as a TSM member,
I thought Iíd contribute one last trip report, long and boring though it may
be.
- Thailand -- Tell my friends, That time has come
to say goodbye that is all South East asian and return once more to the beautiful
bastion of sanity, Great Britain. It's now time for me to offer some philosophy and
advice for others after learning so much on my travelling expeditions. For as the
Buddha says "Has not the tree leaves, has not the bird's song, have not the
streams water".
- Bangkok -- I'm a newbie here. This is a repost
from Thailand, Anything goes. I feel Jason does a good job, taking us back to the
sights and sounds of when we were newbies in Thailand! Bangkok Newbie Trip Report
(part 1) -- 10 Oct -- 12 Oct by- Jason B. This is the beginning of a multi-part report
on the 3 weeks I am spending in South East Asia. I preface my report with something
of a disclaimer.
- Bangkok -- This was my first trip to BKK, or anywhere
in Asia for that matter. It was not, however, my first trip with tsm overtones. I
have lived in Europe since January 2, 1995, the day I escaped the American Gulag.
Consequently, it would have been impossible for me to experience BKK in the way many
posters experience it: directly
- Bangkok -- What more can possibly be written about
Amazing Thailand that hasn't already been said? Are there any words left in the dictionary
of ANY language to describe the grand-daddy of them all? Well, how about attempting
to capture its essence by way of a song? Tom Jones has a tune out called "Sex
Bomb"Pattaya (Thailand) -- My plans were to spend Christmas in Pattaya, so I
hired a ride from the hotel to take me to the Siam Bayshore where I had reservations
for 5 days. I was assured the driver knew the hotel but of course he drove to Jomtien
beach. How come taxi and limo drivers never know where anything is except the massage
parlors? At least he didn't try and tell me that Pattaya was closed.
- Thailand -- Bar tips you need to know. After several
years of "hunting", I want the 8,9,or 10's. i.e.,yes I want the stunners.
I also don't want to end up with the hard core bitch that wants to take you for everything
she can get, and give you little in return. Sure, when I go after the best looking
girls this does happen about 50% of the time.
- Bangkok (Thailand) . Here is a full run down of
the best bar clubs in Banglok. Donít waste your time and read this before
you land.
- Bangkok (Thailand) -- What follows is a report
on my 2-night trip to Thailand. The report on the subsequent two nights in KL will
follow later. Not many TSM details, but maybe some useful information and commentary.
Some parts probably drag on a bit, but what the hell - if I could get someone to
pay me for writing I wouldn't be a fucking engineer.
- Phuket (Thailand) -- If you want to stay close
to the nightlife, then Patong Beach is the place to stay. Lots of beer bars off Soi
Bangla. On the side streets off Soi Bangla (such as Soi Sea Dragon and Soi Eric)
you will find some of the go-go bars. My favourite go-go-bars are Play School (on
Soi Sea Dragon), and Rock Hard (at the end of Soi Bangla). Also Lipstic a-go-go (Soi
Sea Dragon) and Flash A-go-go (Soi Eric) are popular for their shows (not my cup
of tea).
- Thailand -- Lighting strikes twice, PI Runner discovers
Thailand. Have all my notes out, ready to start this trip journal on day one and
I realize that I cannot start at the beginning. So I'm going to tell you the ending
first, and anyone who is still interested is welcome to stay for the story.
- Thailand -- Burnbiters 3rd trip. As I looked out
the window of the airplane leaving Bangkok, the whole trip seemed surreal. I knew
before I left that 8 days (9 nights) was too short a trip, and I was right. The trip
just flew by. If it wasn't for the couple dozen pictures of towel clad beauties and
the faint tingling remaining between my legs it could have all been a dream.
- Bangkok -- Bangkok tits (oops, I meant) tips. El
Hunter spent an enjoyable single male vacation in Thailand the latter part of November
1999, not having been there about ten years in Bangkok and 17 years in Pattaya
- Asia Barfines -- The following applies to Patpong,
Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and Joe Buckskin Village. The rules for some other venues
are different - these rules are covered in "Barfines 2a"."Is the barfine
negotiated with the girl or the club?"
- Bangkok -- First time report, had wanted to take
a trip to Thailand for a long time but was a little nervous having never been anywhere
really besides Mexico and the United States. Anyway I had a vacation coming up and
found a pretty cheap flight to Bangkok, $659 on Northwest.
- Bangkok -- Middle age man does he thing, after
another morning session with A, I sent her home and then went walking down Sukhumvit
to Robinson's Department store. Exchanged some traveler's checks at one of the numerous
exchange booths along the way (38 bahts=1 USD). Sidewalks clogged with
- Thailand -- A needed note to those who haven"t
read my stuff or have just forgotten. It"s long winded, not especially well
written and without any spicy sexual content. This is in the form of a daily trip
diary, not a trip report, thus the added length and digressions I can"t seem
to avoid. Please don"t proceed if you"re just looking for the who and where,
cause I go in more for the how and why.
- Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia -- (long) In light
of the vast amount of information available here on Thailand I'll keep my report
brief so as not to overlap a lot of excellent material. I'm not the graphic sort
anyway - I'll leave that to Blakbart - so I'll just provide a few details and pass
along some info that might be new or might just confirm existing facts.
- Thailand -- Too long ??? You know you've been too
long in Thailand when : You look four ways before crossing a one way street. You've
bought a house for a Thai bar girl, or at least a motorcycle. You begin to enjoy
Thai TV programs and lots more ...
- Pattaya, Thailand -- There are really only 2 reasons
to come to Pattaya and family oriented resort entertainment and activities is not
one of them. Yet, the tourist board has apparently taken its cue from Vegas and is
aggressively prompting the area as an inexpensive couples and family oriented resort
destination.
- Thailand -- Dr. K and the Virgin Experience - Or
, " There's a first Time for Everything." I met Gan in a bar on Soi Cowboy.
I have to admit I didn't think much of her at first. Her hair was pulled back in
a severe bun gave her a moon face, and she seemed chunky. I had come back in the
bar looking for one of her friends I'd had before, the aptly nicknamed "Joy".
- Chiang Mai, Thailand -- I'm guilty, but hey, I
just got the scanner today. Anyways, about Chiang Mai, some things you must know;
It's not the biggest place. Set your expectations for size low. The good news is
is that there are plenty of good looking women there that will treat you right
- Thailand -- Thailand has to be the most erotic
place on earth. Upon arrival, the senses are immediately assaulted, seduced and overwhelmed.
First there's the heat. An enveloping, mushy, whoosh of warmth that makes the knees
go weak and the heart labor. Then there are the smells.
- Bangkok -- First timer, iust recovered from my
recent trip to Bangkok. What a trip! Plenty of incredibly affectionate, beautiful
women. Anyway, here goes nothing. First Day, WOW!!
- Bangkok -- I would like to comment on a few perspectives
which seem to be lacking in most of the editorials on women, travel destinations,
and the single male. I have read many if not most of the articles on destinations
such as Bangkok and the Phillipines written by people who place an inordinately high
priority on the purely physical delights that these beautiful women offer.
- Thailand -- La Vida Boom Boom. Had just gotten
back home from the Philippines the week before, so it was time to head back to Asia
again. This time, I was off to Bangkok. My sixth or seventh trip to Thailand in the
last two years, I've lost track already.
